Guests are welcome, and the frequency allowance is more generous than the old rule — but a guest needs a member: registered in advance, hosted, and on court with you. Guest fees are waived until further notice; the non-member upcharge on a clinic still applies.

Four things have to be true for a non-member to be on a court — match, clinic, lesson, round-robin or drop-in:

• Registered before they arrive, through the Club — you register them; guests don't sign themselves up
• Accompanied by you — non-members can't use the Club independently
• Within the limits — 2 visits per calendar month and 12 per calendar year, counted per guest across the whole Club no matter who hosts them
• Paying applicable fees — guest fees waived for now, clinic upcharge still applies
• 2 adult guests per membership per day, plus their children; larger groups need management approval in advance
• One visit covers the day (tennis then a swim is one visit); dining-only guests don't count at all
• Members come first for courts, clinics, lessons and drop-in play; management may limit guest access for capacity, weather, events or member demand

Standing private groups and member-organized clinics keep going. Members in them play as members, with no guest limits of any kind for themselves.

Any non-member in the group is a guest like anywhere else — registered by a hosting member, accompanied, inside the two-a-month and twelve-a-year limits, and paying the clinic upcharge.

Four clinics organized through WhatsApp move to PlayByPoint for sign-ups: Adult-Junior Liveball, Tennis 101, Coach Danny's Tuesday Co-Ed Liveball, and Coach Danny's Saturday Couples / Paired.

This is the one place the rules loosen. When a non-member is needed to complete a team, bracket or scheduled competition, management may approve them for an official Club-approved league match, interclub event, tournament or round-robin.

They go on the approved event roster, are sponsored by a playing member or the team captain, and may pay an event fee instead of a guest fee. Those appearances don't count against the guest's visit limit unless management decides otherwise, so a league season won't eat a player's allowance.

After-School Junior Tennis and the Junior Tennis Academy are Club programs that register as usual. The Adult-Junior Liveball clinic that ran over the summer is separate and isn't currently on the schedule.

• Non-member children can still join junior clinics — specific guidelines are being set with the racquets team
• Your own children and dependents under 26 aren't guests; they hold your membership category's privileges
• Grandchildren under 26 play with no guest fee and no frequency limit when the member is present
• A guest under 18 means an adult member stays on Club property, unless management approves another arrangement
• Parents, siblings and in-laws are regular guests — same registration, accompaniment and limits
• Nannies and childcare providers register through the Club's program and may supervise your children without you present, but can't play or bring guests

From September 1, registration for Club-run clinics and programming runs through PlayByPoint rather than WhatsApp polls, so member priority and guest participation are handled in one place. Leadership is also re-evaluating PlayByPoint against ClubEssential, so the tool may change.

The mixed WhatsApp clinic groups wind down at the end of August and are replaced by Club-run, member-only groups for tennis and pickleball — the reminders and the community stay, the sign-ups move.

The tennis calendar is being rebuilt with the pros, so clinic names, times and capacities may shift as that settles.

An unregistered guest means the guest fee plus a $100 administrative charge to the sponsoring member. The General Manager can waive it for a first, inadvertent slip.

Repeat violations, false registrations or working around the limits can cost guest privileges and go to the Board. Sponsoring someone also means taking responsibility for their conduct and any damage.

Members have priority on every clinic. Sign-up opens in windows, and non-members are welcome once members have had theirs.

Adult clinics run at four levels — Beginner, Intermediate, Intermediate+ and Advanced — with the approximate NTRP range beside each one, so groups play at a single speed. The label on the clinic card is the group it is run for. You do not need to know your NTRP number: the 60-second level quiz on the Clinics page will estimate it.

Playing above or below the listed level needs approval from Coach Nate, our Racquets Director. Ask before you book; it takes a conversation, sometimes a look at one session, and it protects everybody's hour on court.

New to the club? Come to a clinic near where you think you sit and the director will place you afterward. Junior programs use the USTA ball progression rather than NTRP: Orange Ball, then Green Dot, then Regular Ball on a full court.

Yes — registered as your guest, within their two visits a month, paying the clinic upcharge, and with you there. What ends is a non-member signing themselves up week after week.

Both count. Clinics, lessons, round-robins, drop-in sessions and ordinary social play all sit inside the same two-a-month, twelve-a-year allowance.

From September 1 — it isn't retroactive, so visits earlier this year don't count. September through December allows a maximum of eight visits anyway, so the monthly limit is the only one that can bind before January.

For ordinary play, clinics and lessons, yes. The exceptions are activities management has specifically approved: league or bracket play, an approved Club-sponsored youth activity, or a prospective-member trial. If your guest is under 18, an adult member needs to be on Club property regardless.

No. The allowance follows the guest across the whole Club, and the policy specifically prohibits registering someone under a different name, account or host to work around it.

Yes — ask Club leadership about a prospective-member trial: a one-time complimentary period, generally up to seven consecutive days, weekday and weekend access included. They can't bring guests and they pay for lessons, programs and food, but it's a much better introduction than a string of guest visits.

Your mother-in-law is a regular guest, with the same limits as anyone else. Your nanny can be registered through the childcare-provider program and can supervise your children without you present, but can't play or use the athletic facilities herself.

No — dining-only guests sit outside the monthly and annual limits. You still need to be with them, and parties over twelve should be coordinated with the Club in advance.

No. A member on an approved Leave of Absence can't use the Club as a guest. Worth factoring in before requesting one.

You register them — guests don't sign themselves up. From September 1, sign-ups for Club-run clinics and programming run through PlayByPoint; for anything else, register with the Club before your guest arrives. Registering in advance isn't a guarantee of access if a facility has already reached capacity.

Two adult guests per membership per day, plus their children. A larger group — a birthday, visiting family, a gathering — needs management's approval in advance, and the Club is generally happy to accommodate one as long as it doesn't interfere with normal member use.

No. A non-member can't independently use the Club's facilities, programs, clinics or drop-in activities. This is the heart of the update: guests are welcome with their host, not instead of one.

Yes. Member-run clinics organized outside PlayByPoint are fine, provided the group follows the guest policy — any non-member in it has a sponsoring member who registers them in advance and is responsible for them, within the usual limits.

Members come first for clinics, lessons, court reservations and drop-in play. If a session is at capacity, members have the claim on the remaining places.

Not if they're a spouse, registered domestic partner, shared member or partner formally recognized under the Club's membership procedures — they hold membership privileges in their own right. A partner who hasn't been added under that procedure is treated as a guest.

They don't have to be. Through September 30, 2029, a member's child who is at least 26 and under 30 can be registered as an authorized adult child: no guest fee, no frequency limit, and they may use the Club without you present when you've authorized it. They can't sponsor their own guests unless you're there.

Their count starts fresh on September 1, so nothing carries over. But weekly play as a guest no longer fits — two visits a month is the ceiling. If the Club has become part of their routine, that's the conversation to have about a trial or membership.

Ask. Management can approve exceptions for visiting family and unusual circumstances if you submit the request in advance, case by case.
